Jun Ji Hyun will have a new Korean movie this 2014, After the success of "You Who Came From the Stars that marked Jun Ji Hyun's return to the small screen after 14 years The drama lived up to its title as a shooting star in viewer ratings with close to a 30% viewer rating, maintaining its ranking as the #1 drama in its time slot week after week.
The reporter said, "Jun Ji Hyun, who plays the female lead named Cheon Song Yi, initially turned down the casting offer. Jun Ji Hyun was receiving a lot of love calls from movies and dramas since the blockbusters 'The Thieves' and 'The Berlin File' When the offer for 'You Who Came From The Stars' came in, she was already planning to be in a movie."
Anyway, This Jun Ji Hyun movies was definitely one of the best korean movie I have ever seen. My Sassy Girl, Windstruck and Il Mare.
My Sassy Girl My Sassy Girl is a 2001 South Korean romantic comedy film directed by Kwak Jae-yong. It tells the story of a man's chance meeting with a drunk girl on the train which changes his life. Best movie ever! My favorite part from this movie is when they showed their id card while wearing school uniforms. Don't know why I find it so funny and I think Jun Ji Hyun is perfect for this kind of character "Destiny is the bridge you build to the one you love" My favorite quotes there.
In 1997, architect Sung-Hyun (Lee Jung-Jae) moves into the home 'Il Mare' that his estranged father built. One day, he pulls out a letter from his mailbox. The letter is from a young woman who addresses the new occupant of the 'Il Mare' house. Sung-Hyun is surprised because he is the only person to have moved into the home. More letters arrive and in those letters her predictions are accurate. She warns about a flurry of snow on a certain day in January of 1998 and an ensuing flu virus.
Eun-Joo (Gianna Jun) is convinced that her letter has traveled back in time to December of 1997 and starts writing regularly to Sung-Hyun. Eun-Joo decides to ask Sung-Hyun to find her cassette recorder, which she lost at a train station. Sung-Hyun goes to the train station and gets a glimpse of Eun-Joo.
Windstruck The film stars Jun Ji-hyun as Officer Yeo Kyung-jin, an ambitious young female police officer serving on the Seoul police department. One day while chasing a purse snatcher, she accidentally captures Go Myung-woo (played by Jang Hyuk), a physics teacher at an all-girls school, who was actually trying to catch the thief. Later, Myung-woo discovers the stolen purse, but just as he picks it up, Kyung-jin spots him and tries to arrest him again.
Kyung-jin is then given the job of escorting Myung-woo through a dangerous district, only to be distracted when she tries to break up a meeting between Russian Mafia and Korean gangsters. With Myung-woo handcuffed to her, Kyung-jin almost single-handedly brings down the two rival gangs (although she is helped when she accidentally causes the groups to start shooting at each other).
