Young love is the sweetest, old love is the deepest. Lee Dong Wook and Lee Da Hae together again for the first time in 8 years in the new MBC drama “Hotel King.” The last time they worked together was in the 2005 drama “My Girl.” This is also the first time back at MBC in awhile for both actors.
Leaving aside his usual sweet and romantic image, Lee Dong Wook will be taking the role of Cha Hae Hwan, a cold perfectionist who becomes the youngest manager at hotel CIEL.
Lee Dong Wook said, “I’m excited to be meeting with drama fans after taking some time off. I decided on the drama because the story around hotel sparked my curiosity and ‘Cha Jae Hwan,’ who becomes an hotelier after going through a tough childhood, seemed very charming. I will be preparing hard to show you good acting, so please stay tuned.”
Lee Da Hae plays Ah Mo Nae, the bubbly daughter of the hotel's CEO, which means she is the hotel's heiress. After leading a charmed life of luxury, Ah Mo Nae is called on to save the hotel when it's in danger. She's fun and easy to get along with. Cha Jae Hwan is neither. Will these two characters work together to save the hotel or will they get in each other's way?
“Hotel King” is the love story between Amone, the heiress to the hotel, and Cha Jae Wan, who becomes an enemy to the father that abandoned him and his mother.
Also starring in “Hotel King” are the idols N (VIXX) and Yewon (Jewelry). Both idols play employees at the hotel, N a mood maker with a fun personality, and Yewon an employee who dreams of meeting someone rich and escaping her bland life.
