Cho Ja Young born May 26, 1991, commonly known by her stage name Ah Young, is a South Korean singer, actress and model. She is best known for being a member of the pop girl group Dal Shabet and for portraying Gong Sun-hye in the KBS drama Ad Genius Lee Tae-baek.
On January 11, 2011, Ah Young was featured in a three-part commercial series for the Volkswagen BlueMotion, which ran for the entire year on Korean television.
On March 21, 2012, Ah Young participated in a photo shoot for Maxim Korea. She was included in the magazine and was given the cover for the month of April.
On January 9, 2013, it was announced that Ah Young would be joining the cast of the KBS drama Ad Genius Lee Tae-baek. She played Gong Sun-hye, a secretary for the advertisement firm 'GRC'. Her character received media spotlight for her eccentric personality, as well as her unique sense of fashion.
On March 14, 2013, it was revealed that Ah Young would be making her second drama appearance in the SBS historical drama Jang Ok-jung, Living by Love. She played Princess Myeongan, who is known for displaying her cute charms throughout the palace.
On May 22, 2013, Ah Young was added to the cast of the movie No Breathing. She plays the character Se-Mi, who dreams of becoming a famous singer. No Breathing marks Ah Young's first solo appearance in a big-screen film.
On August 6, 2013, Ah Young participated in the making of "Kuulkuk" for the comedian duo DIS BOYZ. She is featured in both the song and music video.
On September 9, 2013, Ah Young was confirmed to be joining the cast of the movie 58 - The Year of the Dog. Her role and character have yet to be announced.
'The Night Watchman' is a fantasy-romance drama that takes place during the Joseon Dynasty and portrays the story of Lee Rin (Jung Il Woo), who is the 'night watchman' who fights ghosts. Ahyoung will play the role of Ok Mae's (Shim Eun Jin) niece Hong Cho Hee, who becomes possessed by a ghost that makes her have a split personality.
