Jpop News - Amuro Namie's Ballada Album Tops Oricon Weekly Ranking

Amuro Namie's first best-of ballad album titled "Ballada" (went on sale on June 4) sold 255,000 copies during its first week, topping Oricon's latest weekly ranking in the process.
Amuro Namie's Ballada

This is her 7th consecutive chart-topping album, and 12th overall, since "PLAY" (released in June 2007).
To coincide with the album's release, Amuro will make new videos for "CAN YOU CELEBRATE?", "SWEET 19 BLUES", "HimAWArI", and "Four Seasons". A total of 17 PVs will be included in the Blu-ray and DVD.

Finally, Amuro will set out on a nationwide arena tour (currently untitled) in late-May. More details on the tour will be revealed at a later date.
The first week sales for this album exceeded Fukuyama Masaharu's "HUMAN" first week sales of 213,000 copies, therefore, it is now the album with the highest first week sales for a solo artist in 2014. It is also the best-selling album for 2014 for a female solo artist.

"Ballada" includes the top 15 of Amuro's popular ballads voted by her fans such as "Love Story", "CAN YOU CELEBRATE?", and "Tsuki". It also contains a ballad version of "Contrail" as the bonus track. Its CD+DVD edition (and CD+Blu-ray edition) contains the music videos to 17 songs.
