Former SNSD MemberJessica Jung Changed Brand’s Name to BLANC & ECLARE

Japanese netizens are currently in an uproar over former Girls’ Generation (Shoujo Jidai) member Jessica Jung. Evidence has come out that Jessica and her company may have plagiarized a Japanese fashion company, also titled ‘BLANC’. However, the plagiarizing wasn’t just in the name, but the entire website layout and logo design looks similar.

The other day Jessica’s company changed the brand’s name from “BLANC” to “BLANC & ECLARE”, probably due to news of the Japanese brand with the same name.

Jessica Jung is no longer part of K-Pop group Girls' Generation, supposedly because of conflicts with her fashion design career. Jessica posted a message on September 30th to her Weibo account about leaving the group. Initially fans thought that her account might have been hacked, but the news was later confirmed by SM Entertainment.

Jessica wrote, "I was excited about our upcoming fan events only to shockingly be informed by my company and 8 others that as of today, I'm no longer a member. I'm devastated - my priority and love is to serve as a member of GG, but for no justifiable reason, I am being forced out."
Apparently the plagiarizing goes so far that whole website layout has been copied and the logo looking similar. In the past couple of days, “BLANC” was changed to “BLANC & ECLARE”.
