Marian Rivera bags the Media Magnet Award. Riz Pulumbarit
The awards are based on the number of votes received by the nominees. The voting at yahoo.com.ph/celebrityawards started on Wednesday and will end on July 12. The awarding ceremony will be held at the Mall of Asia Arena on July 18.
One award was given during Wednesday’s press launch – the Media Magnet Award – based on the votes of members of the press and this went to Marian Rivera, the primetime queen of GMA Network.
After receiving her award, Rivera told GMA News Online, “Siguro 'yung Celebrity Media Magnet Award ay isa sa pinakamabigat na award this year. So thankful ako sa Yahoo at sa lahat ng press na nagmamahal sa amin. Thank you sa kanila.”
Rivera was the recipient of the top OMG Award last year – Celebrity of the Year. The award was renamed Yahoo Celebrity Award this year because according to Yahoo officials, the new name suits the brand better.Celebrity of the year
